Melt n’ Pour – Soapmaking

Ever tried soapmaking? Here it is:

Hey Guys! I am here w/ my new addiction. Soapmaking is actually pretty cool. I recently went to my nearest craft store, and they explained to me what soapmaking is. There are 2 ways to make soap. The first is called Melt and Pour. This is the one I will be sharing w/ you guys today. It is super easy, you just melt, stir, and pour. The other one is called cold-process soap. This is where you make soap from scratch. With lye and oils and stuff. Anyways, it takes a long time to make soap(precisley 4-6 weeks) and its dangerous so I ditched the idea.

Today, I will be giving you step-by-step instructions on melt-n-pour soap so maybe you will give it a try!(hopefully)

(I made that :P)

Silicone Mold: We are using a Silicone Mold so that popping out the soap will be easier. You can usually find these under the baking section
Soap Base: We need to melt our soap base, so choose one that is either clear or white. And get lots of it.
Essential Oils: You want your soap to smell good right?
Soap Colorant: For color(duh)

  1. Cut your soap base into small 1″ pieces. This helps it melt evenly. I am using a goats milk soap base, so it is moisturizing!

2. Melt your soap. Microwave it in 15 second intervals so that the soap doesn’t burn. Stir in between. It should look like above.

3. Add your color and fragrance. Use 3 drops of color and lots of fragrance. Once it hardens, the soap doesn’t smell that much anymore.

4. Pour your soap into the molds. After, make sure to clean your cup fast, or else the soap will block up the drain.

3. Now you should wait for 40-45 minutes. After, press gently on the bottom of the mold to release. In some of them, I added rosehip oil and dried rose petals to exfoliate the skin.

And that’s basic soapmaking! I really hope you guys try it, personally soapmaking was a really fun experience for me! Comment below if you guys will ever try it! Bye!

Hey Guys,

I’d like to bring up an issue that I left awhile ago. A few weeks/months back, I posted something I never should have posted. I posted a rant, exploiting and saying things I never should have said. Maybe they were lies, maybe they were the truth. It doesn’t matter. I realized I hurt that person, and I never should have done that. She didn’t deserve it. So all those things you heard, I don’t know if they were true. If they were, maybe they are not true now. All I am asking is to give Blogtastic417 a chance. Go and follow her blog. I am making peace, and I hoping to have no more enemies anymore.

This collab’s theme was Your Favorite Part Of Blogging! Here’s mine!

My favorite part about blogging is meeting other people. I love emailing and chatting people from all over the world and hanging out on massive group chats. I always have someone online whether its 3 in the morning or 1 in the afternoon.(usually) I like to talk about where they live, and what they usually do at home, and it is really interesting learning about their life. That’s why I always love it when someone shares a picture or two of their home or town. I find it really interesting! I love interacting with them, and that is my favorite part of blogging!

Hope you enjoyed! Had a great time! Make sure to go and follow the other people who did this collab:

Collab W/ Lui Maria!

**Before we start, this was supposed to be posted a little earlier, my post for some reason didn’t publish**

Hey Guys!!!

I’m back! I have had a really bad fever for a couple of days now, but now I really feel better! Anyways, today I am super excited because Lui and I decided to do a collab together! We both had 5 questions, so let’s get started!  To visit Lui’s blog, click here.

1.Who is your blogging inspiration?

A ton of bloggers are my blogging inspiration, some of them are big shot bloggers, and some of them are from our blogging community, so here are some of them:

Mahriya-My Bookish Life
Farah Edz-The Girl With Coffe
Marianne- Design Your Own Blog
Sasha-The Stylish Dreamer

2.What’s your favorite part of blogging?

My favorite part of blogging is definitely meeting new bloggers. I love to see the way they write, and how they organize things. I also love writing a meaningful most time to time, like my I Am a Muslim post that posted last week. Blogging is really fun, meeting people around the world.

3.What’s our advice for new bloggers?

My advice to new bloggers is comment and discover new bloggers! This way you can support other blogs while they support you!

4.What’s your favorite downtime activity?

My favorite downtime activity right now is sewing. I have just gotten obsessed with sewing pillows, doll clothes, etc.

5.How do you balance your online and offline life?

(sighs) This is really hard. Some days I will constantly be online and never go outside, or some days I will never use a laptop. I usually try to schedule posts and such so that I never miss anything!

Anyways, those are the questions! Hope you guys enjoyed! Bye!

I Am A Muslim

I turn on the T.V. I see people cursing in front of Mosque’s and I think “What did I ever do to make these people angry?”
I am a Muslim.

I go to Sunday School, I pray, and I believe in 1 god. But really, all Muslims are normal people. I also want the newest iPhone, I like pizza, and I drink water. Like a ton of other people. So really, why do look at the news and see a report on people hating Muslims?

Most people don’t care about religion. If they worship one, they don’t talk about. What’s to know? If you’re Christian, no one cares. If you’re Catholic, no one cares. But when I get up and say I am a Muslim, I get scared looks exchanged between best friends. I get immature boys giggling among themselves whispering that I’m a terrorist.

Cause guess what?

I’m not.

I’m not a terrorist. Those terrorists that bombed NYC, or killed thousands of people were not Muslims. They claim they are. If you read the Quran, you will know, those people aren’t Muslims. Anyone who kills a person and never asks for forgiveness is not a Muslim. And guess what? They killed more than 1. They killed more than 2. In reality, they are non- religious.

What if you switch the positions? What if, let’s say these people were a made-up popular religion called Plorasism? If it doesn’t specifically say in their holy book that killing people doesn’t make them Plora’s, it’s still not right to shun them out. It’s not right to make stereotypes of people when 1/1000 of their people made a mistake. It’s not right.

Each day before my parents became citizens a couple of weeks ago, I worried. At school, I was worried. I was a citizen, but what if they get deported? What if something bad happens to them? But yet, my worry hasn’t gone away. I worry about relatives, my aunt stuck in a separate country, and other families.

Please. Join me in taking a stand. It’s not right to this to us. To anyone. To all those people who protested on the 21st, and all those people who supported from their homes, or work, you are amazing. And the others? Join them. Take a stand. Don’t sit there making stereotypes of people. Don’t say Muslims are terrorists. Don’t say that women should be cooking and cleaning.

I am a Muslim. And I am proud to be one.

I’m So Sorry

Hey guys,

I have had just the worst week ever. I had horrible stomach pains that won’t go away, I have school stress, and money stress since my dad lost his job, and to top it all off, my laptop broke. Probably the worst week since……never. Anyways, lets not do that anymore, I just wanted to say I am super sorry I won’t be able to post often. I still have to figure out this computer situation, I may get a new one, I’m not sure. I seriously wanted to start off this new year on the right foot, and blog a ton for you guys, but hey, my path isn’t straight, it’s just got a curve and I’ve got to see what lies behind it. I may post 1 a week, hopefully. I just wanted to let you know, and that I am super sorry.

Parent’s Be Like ….. | NYCelebration Day 7

Hey Guys! Sad, today is our last day of our NYCelebration 😦 But, let’s make this last one a memorable one.

Now, everyday, when I walk into my house, my parents and I have this type of conversation.

Mom: ||Pours Tea||

Shania:|| Eats Cereal|

Dad: || Comes downstairs scratching his butt ||

Mom: “Hey Shania, did you know that Drake is now a singer or something? I thought he was going to stick to acting!!”

Shania: || rolls eyes|| “Mom, Drake stopped acting in 2007!!!”

Mom: “Well you don’t have to be rude! Also, you know T. Swift stopped dating Joe Jonas!!??”

Shania: “Mom, that happened in 2008!!”

Dad: “You know, there’s been a World War III?!”

Shania & Mom:  Wait, WHAT?!!

Anyways, that was me trying to be funny. I swear, it hurts. Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed this post, see you soon! Bye!
